Project Overview

The University of Tampa pursued the development of an 11-story multipurpose building on its Tampa, Florida campus, encompassing approximately 440,000 square feet of academic space, structured parking, and student housing. The project carried a value of $95 million and represented a substantial investment in campus infrastructure, stacking three distinct programs into a single vertical structure. The client served as construction manager and needed a pursuit package capable of conveying the project's scale and mixed-use complexity to a university owner with high expectations. PRESWERX partnered with the client's team to develop the visual assets and presentation strategy that would carry the pursuit forward.

Client Challenges

The client needed to present a complex, vertically integrated program to a university owner with clear expectations and a competitive field:

  • Communicating how three distinct uses, academic space, parking, and student housing, would function cohesively within a single 11-story structure.

  • Visualizing design character and scale before construction began to give the owner confidence in the team's approach.

  • Differentiating the pursuit in a competitive field for a $95 million campus project.

  • Preparing presenters for a live interview with a polished, rehearsed delivery.

Together, these challenges required a visual and presentation strategy built around the owner's perspective, not just the team's credentials.

Scope of Work

PRESWERX developed a comprehensive pursuit package for the University of Tampa Multipurpose Building competition. The team produced architectural renderings that illustrated the building's exterior massing and the integration of its three program types across 11 stories. Accompanying animations brought the project's scale and spatial quality to life, giving the owner a clear picture of the finished building before design was complete. PRESWERX also developed the client's presentation materials and delivered direct presentation coaching to prepare the team for the live interview, sharpening their delivery and aligning the narrative with the owner's priorities.

PRESWERX Approach

PRESWERX framed the engagement around the owner's decision-making process, building a visual and narrative package designed to answer the questions a university client would bring to the table.

  • Produced architectural renderings showing the building's exterior and the distinct character of its stacked academic, parking, and residential programs.

  • Created animations to communicate scale and design intent in a format suited for a live presentation.

  • Delivered presentation coaching to sharpen the client team's delivery, pacing, and narrative structure ahead of the interview.

The work gave the client a cohesive, well-rehearsed pursuit package going into the selection.

Results Delivered

PRESWERX delivered a coordinated set of visual and presentation tools built to the standard a major university pursuit demands.

  • Renderings gave the owner a concrete visual reference for the building's exterior and the integration of its three program types.

  • Animations communicated the project's scale and spatial character in a format that worked within the live presentation environment.

  • Presentation coaching brought the client's delivery to a level of precision and confidence appropriate for a $95 million campus selection.

The client's team entered the interview with a clear, cohesive story and the preparation to tell it well.
