Project Overview
The Venice Gardens Water Reclamation Facility in Venice, Florida underwent a major capacity expansion and process upgrade for Sarasota County. The project increased the facility's total treatment capacity to as much as 6.0 million gallons per day while upgrading the treatment process to Advanced Wastewater Treatment standards. Construction phasing required the facility to remain fully operational on a 24/7 basis throughout, maintaining continuous permit compliance for treatment, storage, and disposal. Hardened building construction and potential ancillary support facilities added further scope and complexity. The client engaged PRESWERX to develop renderings and animations in support of the competitive pursuit.
Client Challenges
The client faced a pursuit with layered operational complexity and a scope that had to read as one unified story:
The existing facility had to stay operational 24/7 throughout construction, making phased sequencing difficult to communicate through static documents alone.
Simultaneous capacity expansion and AWT process upgrade created a multi-part scope requiring a single, coherent visual narrative.
A competitive selection required imagery that elevated the proposal above technical drawings and matched the scale of the team's approach.
All three challenges called for visuals that could simplify complexity without sacrificing technical credibility.
Scope of Work
PRESWERX produced a package of renderings and animations tailored to the technical and narrative demands of the Venice Gardens WRF expansion pursuit. The renderings depicted the expanded facility in context, capturing the hardened infrastructure, the new treatment train, and the integration of ancillary support buildings with the existing plant. The animations illustrated the phased construction approach, showing how the team planned to add capacity and upgrade the treatment process while keeping the facility running at full operation throughout. All deliverables were calibrated to support the client's competitive submission to Sarasota County.
