Project Overview
The New River YMCA project encompassed construction of a new indoor aquatic facility in Jacksonville, North Carolina, valued at $12 million. The program centered on a competition-grade eight-lane pool tank alongside a warm water tank, supported by aquatics multipurpose rooms for water safety training and swim team staging. Separate locker room facilities for male, female, universal, and youth users completed the program, along with associated sitework, landscaping, and hardscape improvements. The client engaged PRESWERX to build the proposal package needed to pursue this community aquatics facility through a competitive selection.

Client Challenges
The client pursued a competitive selection for a technically complex aquatics facility. The proposal had to accomplish several things at once:
Translate a dual-pool aquatics program into a clear, cohesive narrative for the selection committee
Visualize design quality and facility character before construction documents existed
Differentiate the team in a field of competitive respondents
Together, these demands required a submission that was both technically precise and visually compelling.

Scope of Work
PRESWERX developed a complete proposal package for the New River YMCA pursuit. Written proposal content translated the project's dual-pool aquatics program into a clear and accessible narrative tailored to the selection process. Graphic layout and visual design unified the facility's competition tank, warm water tank, multipurpose training spaces, and locker room program into a cohesive submission. Supporting qualifications content highlighted the client team's relevant experience and positioned them as prepared to deliver a facility of this scale and community significance. Each element was crafted to address the specific context of this procurement.

PRESWERX Approach
PRESWERX approached the New River YMCA pursuit as a strategic storytelling challenge, building the proposal around what made this facility distinct and what made the client team the right fit to deliver it.
Organized the narrative around the facility's dual-pool program to communicate both competitive and community value clearly
Developed graphic layouts that conveyed design intent and program quality before construction documents existed
Aligned the team's qualifications with the YMCA's priorities as a community-serving owner
The result was a submission that gave the client a clear and compelling foundation heading into the selection.
