Project Overview

The Fremont Union High School District had built one of the region’s strongest Robotics programs, and its success created a new challenge: the program had outgrown its existing facilities. To address that growth, the district envisioned a dedicated New District Robotics Center in Cupertino, California, designed to support competition practice, team collaboration, observation, and ongoing maintenance. The facility’s construction scope closely resembled a gymnasium or career technical education building, demanding a team with deep experience in complex educational projects. The client engaged PRESWERX to develop the full suite of pursuit deliverables for this high-profile educational facility.

Client Challenges

The client needed to communicate the scope and ambition of a first-of-its-kind educational facility to a district owner with high expectations. Key challenges included:

  • Translating a purpose-built program facility into a cohesive, compelling pursuit narrative for a non-technical review panel

  • Visualizing a building type that combined gymnasium-scale construction with specialized robotics programming before construction began

  • Differentiating the team’s experience and collaborative approach in a competitive field

  • Preparing leadership to perform confidently in a live interview and selection presentation

Each challenge demanded materials that were precise, polished, and ready well before the pursuit deadline.

Scope of Work

PRESWERX developed a full suite of pursuit deliverables to support the client’s bid for the FUHSD Robotics Center. The team crafted a proposal document that framed the project’s unique program requirements alongside the client’s relevant experience with educational and CTE facilities. A custom presentation was built to translate the technical scope and design intent into a clear, visually driven narrative for the owner’s selection panel. PRESWERX also led presentation coaching sessions with the client’s leadership team, refining messaging, sharpening delivery, and ensuring every spokesperson entered the interview fully prepared.

PRESWERX Approach

PRESWERX approached this pursuit as a strategic communications challenge from the first conversation. With a facility type that straddled multiple building categories, the team focused on building a single, unified story that tied program intent to construction capability.

  • Developed proposal content that linked the district’s robotics mission to the client’s specific project experience and collaborative track record

  • Designed a presentation that guided panel members through the facility concept with clear visuals and a confident narrative arc

  • Conducted targeted coaching sessions that helped the client’s principals communicate technical scope with confidence and precision

The result was a client team that arrived at the interview with a clear message and the practice to deliver it.

Results Delivered

PRESWERX delivered a complete set of pursuit materials built to the standard required for a competitive public education procurement.

  • The proposal document presented the client’s qualifications and project vision as a cohesive, owner-centered narrative that addressed the district’s priorities

  • The presentation gave panel members a clear picture of the facility, the team, and the path forward

  • Coaching sessions left the client’s leadership confident in their messaging and composed under selection-panel conditions

The client entered the interview fully prepared, with polished materials and a practiced team ready to perform.
