Project Overview
The Mission San Luis Artifact Curation and Conservation Facility represented a significant investment in the preservation of Florida's Spanish colonial heritage. Located on the grounds of the 17th-century Mission San Luis de Apalache archaeological site in Tallahassee, Florida, the project delivered dedicated space for the curation, conservation, and long-term storage of irreplaceable archaeological materials recovered from ongoing excavations at the site. Funded through state appropriations to the Florida Department of State, the facility was designed to serve researchers, conservators, and the public for generations to come. The client engaged PRESWERX to support the competitive pursuit with a comprehensive proposal package, architectural renderings, and animated visualizations.

Client Challenges
The pursuit posed a distinct set of communication challenges for the client's team:
Translating a technically complex archaeological curation and conservation program into a compelling, accessible narrative for state evaluators
Visualizing a purpose-built facility within a historically sensitive landscape before a single wall was constructed
Differentiating the team in a competitive public procurement process where multiple qualified firms were vying for the work
Presenting a cohesive submission that reflected both technical rigor and respect for the cultural significance of the Mission San Luis campus
Advancing in this pursuit required more than a strong team. It demanded a submission that honored the weight of the site and the mission of the procuring agency.

Scope of Work
PRESWERX developed a full pursuit package tailored to the specific demands of a state-funded cultural facility project. The team produced architectural renderings that placed the proposed facility in context within Mission San Luis's historically significant landscape, giving evaluators a clear visual sense of how the new construction would complement the existing campus. Animated visualizations brought the facility's program to life, illustrating workflows for artifact intake, conservation treatment, and long-term storage in a way that static images could not convey. The written proposal wove together the client's technical qualifications and the project's broader cultural mission, presenting the work as both an infrastructure investment and a lasting commitment to Florida's archaeological record.

PRESWERX Approach
PRESWERX approached the pursuit as a storytelling challenge grounded in site context and institutional purpose. The team built each deliverable around the specific character of Mission San Luis:
Renderings were developed with careful attention to the historic setting, ensuring the proposed facility appeared as a natural and respectful extension of the existing campus
Animations focused on function and workflow, translating complex conservation processes into clear, engaging sequences that non-technical evaluators could follow
The proposal narrative connected the client's credentials directly to the cultural and institutional weight of a Florida Department of State procurement
The result was a submission that communicated both technical capability and genuine respect for the work the facility was designed to protect.
Results Delivered
PRESWERX delivered a complete, polished pursuit package built to meet the expectations of a Florida Department of State competitive procurement:
Architectural renderings gave evaluators a vivid, site-sensitive preview of the proposed facility within its historic context
Animated sequences translated complex curation and conservation workflows into clear, professionally produced visuals that strengthened the technical narrative
The proposal positioned the client as the team best qualified to steward an irreplaceable piece of Florida's archaeological and cultural record
The client entered the selection process with a well-crafted, visually compelling submission that clearly communicated the depth of their team's preparation and commitment to the project.
