Project Overview
The Williamstown Fire Department sought to replace an aging, undersized facility with a purpose-built 22,000 SF fire station at 562 Main Street in Williamstown, Massachusetts. The $17.5 million project represented a long-awaited community investment, with site enabling work already complete and 100% construction documents finalized by architect EDM Studio. Owner's project manager Skanska USA Building oversaw the competitive procurement process. The client, pursuing the general contractor role, engaged PRESWERX to deliver a complete pursuit package covering proposal development, renderings, animations, a pursuit film, presentation design, and presentation coaching.

Client Challenges
The client pursued the general contractor role for a community-funded fire station with a fixed budget and value management pressure:
Translating a 22,000 SF scope into clear, accessible content for a non-technical owner committee
Visualizing the completed facility to build confidence before construction began
Differentiating the team from other qualified GCs in a cost-sensitive selection
Preparing for a live interview before a community audience
A well-coordinated pursuit package was essential to establishing credibility at every stage of the selection.

Scope of Work
PRESWERX delivered a full pursuit package for the Williamstown Fire Station engagement. The team developed a proposal document tailored to the Williamstown Fire Department's selection criteria, presenting the client's qualifications in clear, accessible terms for a community-driven committee. Custom renderings and animations brought the 22,000 SF facility to life, giving non-technical stakeholders a vivid picture of the completed station. A pursuit film tied the visual narrative together, while a purpose-built presentation gave the client a polished platform for the live interview. Hands-on presentation coaching sharpened the team's delivery in advance of selection day.

PRESWERX Approach
PRESWERX framed the Williamstown pursuit around the project's meaning to the community, treating it as a public investment story rather than a standard bid:
Developed proposal content that connected the client's experience to the Fire Department's priorities and community expectations
Produced renderings and animations that reflected the town's character and the practicality of the design
Coached the presentation team through likely interview scenarios to build confidence and consistency
Every deliverable was calibrated to the audience making the decision.
Results Delivered
PRESWERX produced a complete, client-ready pursuit package that held a high standard across every deliverable category.
The proposal gave the selection committee a clear, organized narrative connecting the client's qualifications to the Fire Department's project goals
Renderings and animations delivered a vivid, three-dimensional picture of the finished 22,000 SF facility before a single foundation was poured
The presentation and coaching program gave the team the structure and confidence to perform in a live interview setting
The client entered the selection fully prepared, with materials matched to the seriousness of the community investment.
