Project Overview
San Francisco State University pursued the development of a $116.4 million affordable student housing and student health center on its West Campus Green, a 2.5-acre site along Font Boulevard. The project called for a midrise residence hall on the west end of the site, preserving the existing soccer field and its supporting infrastructure intact. Situated near dining, wellness, and residential facilities, the location was identified as ideal for first-year student housing. The client served as general contractor and required a comprehensive pursuit package to support the selection. PRESWERX developed the proposal, presentation materials, and coaching that prepared the team for the competitive process.

Client Challenges
The client needed to present a proposal for a complex, site-constrained student housing project to a major public university with specific affordability requirements and campus integration priorities:
Communicating a development strategy for a 2.5-acre urban campus infill site that balanced new midrise residential density with preservation of the existing soccer field and campus recreation infrastructure.
Demonstrating the team's understanding of the affordability, first-year student programming, and campus adjacency priorities that SFSU identified for the West Campus Green site.
Preparing a high-quality proposal and presentation that could differentiate the client in a competitive selection for a $116.4 million public university project.
Together, these challenges required a pursuit approach that projected both campusscale planning sensitivity and the construction expertise to execute a constrained urban infill project.

Scope of Work
PRESWERX produced a comprehensive pursuit package for the West Campus Green Affordable Student Housing and Student Health Center selection, including a written proposal, presentation materials, and direct coaching. The proposal was structured to communicate the client's approach to a site-sensitive, affordability-focused student housing project at a major California public university. The presentation materials organized the team's qualifications, approach, and campus integration strategy into a clear, well-sequenced format for the selection panel. PRESWERX also coached the client's presenters directly, sharpening the delivery and ensuring the narrative addressed SFSU's programmatic and affordability priorities ahead of the interview.

PRESWERX Approach
PRESWERX built the pursuit package around SFSU's stated priorities for the West Campus Green site, ensuring every element of the proposal and presentation spoke to affordability, first-year student experience, and respect for the existing campus environment.
Developed the written proposal to communicate the client's site planning approach and construction strategy for a constrained urban infill project with specific affordability and programming requirements.
Organized the presentation materials to lead with the campus integration story, connecting the midrise residence hall concept to the surrounding student amenities and the needs of SFSU's first-year student population.
Coached the client's team to deliver a precise, well-rehearsed presentation aligned to the expectations of a major California public university owner.
The result was a pursuit package that demonstrated both the team's construction capability and its understanding of what SFSU needed from this project.
Results Delivered
PRESWERX delivered a full proposal and presentation package that positioned the client to compete effectively for one of SFSU's most significant campus housing investments.
The written proposal communicated the client's site planning approach, affordability alignment, and construction strategy in a format suited to a California public university procurement process.
Presentation materials organized the team's qualifications and approach into a well-sequenced narrative that addressed SFSU's campus integration and firstyear student housing priorities.
Presentation coaching gave the client's team the delivery confidence and narrative precision needed to present a complex, site-constrained project to a selective public university panel.
The client's team entered the selection with a complete, well-prepared pursuit package aligned to SFSU's vision for the West Campus Green.
