Project Overview
Wake Technical Community College pursued an 80,000 GSF Technology 4.0 Building at its new Eastern Wake Campus in Wendell, North Carolina. The three-story facility was designed to serve as a living teaching tool, housing flexible teaching labs, high-bay training spaces, maker spaces, and specialized technology labs supporting programs ranging from Robotics and Automation to Biopharmaceuticals and Unmanned Aircraft Operations. At $32.4 million, the project represented a significant investment in workforce development infrastructure. The client engaged PRESWERX to develop the full pursuit package, including renderings, animations, a pursuit film, and presentation coaching to support the competitive submission.

Client Challenges
The client faced a competitive selection process with a technically complex scope that needed to read as one clear, compelling story:
Communicating a multi-program technical facility spanning nine academic disciplines to evaluators without deep familiarity with each field.
Translating architectural design quality into vivid, credible visuals before construction began.
Building a cohesive presentation narrative that honored both the facility's functional complexity and its role as a living teaching tool.
Preparing the project team to deliver that story with confidence in a live interview setting.
Each of these challenges demanded a coordinated strategy that went beyond standard proposal materials.

Scope of Work
PRESWERX developed a comprehensive pursuit package tailored to the complexity and ambition of the Technology 4.0 Building. The team produced high-fidelity architectural renderings that captured the facility's flexible lab environments and advanced technical spaces, giving evaluators a clear sense of design quality before a single wall was built. Animated sequences brought the building's systems and spatial flow to life, while a purpose-built pursuit film wove together the academic mission, the community impact, and the construction team's capabilities into a single cohesive narrative. PRESWERX also led presentation coaching sessions to sharpen the client team's delivery for the live selection interview.

PRESWERX Approach
PRESWERX approached the pursuit as a storytelling challenge, working backward from the evaluation criteria to build a package that made the scope immediately legible and the team's qualifications undeniable.
Developed a visual narrative strategy that organized the building's nine academic programs into a unified story tied to workforce development impact.
Produced layered visual assets, from still renderings to animated sequences, calibrated to reinforce key design and program differentiators.
Coached the client team through scenario-based presentation rehearsals, refining both content and delivery ahead of the selection interview.
The result was a pursuit package that gave the client team a clear, confident voice going into the selection.
Results Delivered
PRESWERX delivered a complete visual and narrative pursuit package that met the demands of a technically complex, high-value higher education competition.
Architectural renderings conveyed the building's design quality and spatial variety across flexible lab environments and high-bay training spaces.
Animated sequences and a pursuit film translated a nine-program academic facility into a story that evaluators could see and follow.
Presentation coaching gave the client team the structure and confidence to address each evaluator question with precision.
The client entered the selection fully prepared, with materials and a delivery approach equal to the scope and ambition of the project.
