Project Overview
The UF Architecture Building Renovation and DCP Collaboratory in Gainesville, Florida delivers a modernized academic facility for the University of Florida's College of Design, Construction and Planning. The project renovates the existing Architecture Building while adding a new Collaboratory, creating contemporary collaborative workspace and studio environments that support the college's design-forward academic mission. The renovation updates an established academic building for the demands of current DCP programs while the new Collaboratory provides a purpose-built space for interdisciplinary work and research. The client engaged PRESWERX to develop a proposal, presentation, coaching, renderings, animations, and film in support of the competitive pursuit.
Client Challenges
The client faced a pursuit where an architecture school renovation had to communicate academic vision as clearly as construction scope:
A renovation of an established academic building required imagery that made updated spaces feel aligned with the college's design-forward identity.
A new Collaboratory required visuals that made its role as a hub for interdisciplinary work and research legible to a university audience.
A combined renovation and new Collaboratory required a full-format package equal to the ambition of the University of Florida's DCP investment.
Together, these called for a package that made an architecture school renovation feel as visionary as the college it would serve.
Scope of Work
PRESWERX delivered a comprehensive pursuit package for the UF Architecture Building Renovation and DCP Collaboratory in Gainesville, Florida. The proposal organized the full construction and program case for both the renovation and the new Collaboratory. The presentation structured the project for the University of Florida's evaluation team, covering the renovation scope and the Collaboratory's role in the college's academic program. Renderings depicted the updated Architecture Building and new Collaboratory environments. Animations and film brought the project to life in dynamic formats. PRESWERX also provided coaching to prepare the team to deliver the full presentation confidently.
