Project Overview
The Villages Elementary School Renovation was a $14.6 million CMR pursuit for the Board of Lake County Schools in Lady Lake, Florida. The project encompassed a new classroom addition with approximately 12 classrooms and 240 student stations for PK through 5th grade, alongside a comprehensive renewal of cafeteria, administrative, and classroom buildings originally constructed in 2004. Scope included updates to building envelope, roofing, mechanical and electrical systems, interior finishes, and restrooms, plus improvements to the physical education pavilion, playground, and site infrastructure including parking, bus loops, and canopy systems. PRESWERX contributed a complete proposal, presentation, and presentation coaching for the client's pursuit.

Client Challenges
The client faced a multi-layered scope that needed to read as a single, unified vision for the selection committee. Several challenges shaped the pursuit strategy:
Translating a technically complex renovation and addition into a clear, compelling narrative for a public education owner evaluating multiple firms
Differentiating the team in a competitive CMR selection process where scope familiarity alone would not be enough
Communicating the breadth of site, building, and systems improvements across a campus that remained in active use
Preparing the project team to present confidently before a school district panel with varying levels of technical familiarity
Together, these challenges called for pursuit materials that were technically credible and accessible to a non-technical owner audience.

Scope of Work
PRESWERX developed a complete proposal, a tailored presentation, and delivered hands-on presentation coaching for the client's CMR pursuit. The proposal organized the project's broad scope, covering the classroom addition, building system renewals, site improvements, and phasing considerations, into a cohesive document built around the owner's evaluation criteria. The presentation translated those themes into a visual and verbal narrative suited to a live selection interview. Coaching sessions prepared the client's team to deliver the material with confidence, anticipate panel questions, and communicate their approach to a school district audience with clarity and consistency.

PRESWERX Approach
PRESWERX treated the pursuit as a storytelling challenge: a complex, multi-phase scope needed to feel coherent and manageable for a public school owner. The team focused on three priorities:
Anchoring the proposal narrative around student experience and campus continuity, not just technical scope
Structuring the presentation to build confidence in the client's phasing and coordination strategy
Coaching the project team to speak naturally to district stakeholders rather than defaulting to technical language
The result was a client team that walked into the selection room prepared, aligned, and speaking the same language as the owner.
Results Delivered
PRESWERX delivered pursuit materials that gave the client a strong platform for a competitive CMR selection. Key outputs included:
A fully developed proposal that organized a broad, technically complex scope into a clear, evaluator-friendly narrative aligned with the owner's criteria
A presentation that communicated the client's approach to phasing, coordination, and student impact in a format accessible to a school district audience
Coaching sessions that sharpened the team's delivery, built consistency across presenters, and prepared the team for panel questions
The client entered the selection process with a cohesive story, a confident team, and pursuit materials that reflected the full strength of their approach.
