Project Overview

The Museum of Science and History Genesis 2 (MOSH Genesis) was a $125 million cultural landmark in Jacksonville, Florida, commissioned by the Museum of Science and History. The project called for a new approximately 100,000 GSF museum along the Northbank of downtown Jacksonville, fronting the St. Johns River. The building represented MOSH's commitment to creating a world-class cultural destination for the region, with a prominent waterfront location designed to anchor downtown's public riverfront for generations. Realizing that vision required a construction partner capable of matching its ambition. The client engaged PRESWERX to support the pursuit with a presentation, presentation coaching, renderings, and animations.

Client Challenges

The client was pursuing one of the most significant cultural construction projects in Jacksonville's history, competing to build a world-class museum on a high-visibility downtown waterfront site. The pursuit presented several distinct challenges:

  • Communicating the team's ability to deliver a landmark cultural institution at the scale and quality MOSH and the Jacksonville community expected.

  • Visualizing a world-class museum on the St. Johns River waterfront in a way that captured the building's civic ambition and its relationship to the city.

  • Differentiating the construction team in a competitive selection for a project with enormous public visibility and lasting cultural significance.

  • Preparing presenters to speak to the vision and technical demands of a landmark museum project with the depth and conviction a world-class cultural institution requires.

The materials needed to demonstrate a partner worthy of the building MOSH had committed to create.

Scope of Work

PRESWERX built the selection presentation and provided coaching to prepare the client's team for the MOSH interview. Renderings visualized the new museum's exterior and its relationship to the St. Johns River waterfront, bringing the building's civic presence and architectural ambition to life before construction began. Animations brought the 100,000 GSF facility and its downtown Northbank setting to life in a dynamic format that conveyed both the scale and the character of a world-class cultural destination. Coaching prepared the team's speakers to present with the vision, credibility, and conviction that a landmark institutional project demands.

PRESWERX Approach

PRESWERX approached the pursuit with the understanding that MOSH Genesis is not just a building. It is a civic commitment, and the materials needed to reflect what this museum would mean to Jacksonville.

  • Developed renderings and animations that captured the museum's waterfront presence and architectural ambition, presenting the St. Johns River site as the transformative cultural backdrop it was designed to be.

  • Built the presentation narrative around the project's significance: a world-class institution anchoring downtown Jacksonville's riverfront for generations.

  • Coached presenters to speak to the building's cultural purpose with the same fluency they brought to its construction scope.

The result was a presentation that matched the ambition of one of Jacksonville's most consequential civic projects.

Results Delivered

PRESWERX delivered a complete pursuit package built for a landmark cultural project with citywide significance and a demanding institutional owner. Each deliverable was held to a standard worthy of the project it represented.

  • Renderings brought the MOSH Genesis waterfront building to life, giving the selection panel a photorealistic picture of the museum's exterior presence along the St. Johns River.

  • Animations conveyed the scale, setting, and character of the 100,000 GSF facility in a dynamic format suited to a cultural institution's expectations.

  • Coaching prepared each presenter to speak to the museum's civic importance and construction demands with equal confidence.

The client walked into the selection with a presentation worthy of the world-class museum MOSH had committed to build.
