Project Overview
Texas State University's new STEM Building on the San Marcos campus represented a major investment in the University's academic capacity. The 155,902-square-foot facility was planned to consolidate the Computer Science and Mathematics departments on the west side of campus, aligning science and engineering disciplines in a shared location for the first time. The building encompassed instructional classrooms, student work and tutoring space, testing suites, research labs, administrative offices, and meeting rooms. At over $100 million, the project demanded a compelling, well-structured pursuit. The client engaged PRESWERX to develop the full suite of materials needed to compete for the work.

Client Challenges
The client faced a set of strategic pursuit challenges tied to both the scale of the project and the expectations of a university selection committee:
Communicating a 155,902-square-foot, multi-department academic program as a single, cohesive story for a non-construction owner audience
Visualizing design quality and spatial character before construction documents were complete
Differentiating the team in a competitive higher education market where polished, well-prepared submittals are the norm
Building presenter confidence and message alignment ahead of a high-stakes selection interview
Pulling each element together into a unified pursuit required a partner who could execute across proposal, visuals, and presentation simultaneously.

Scope of Work
PRESWERX delivered a comprehensive set of pursuit materials scaled to the demands of a $100 million university project. The team produced a full proposal document that organized the client's qualifications and project-specific approach into a clear, owner-friendly narrative. Custom renderings and animations brought the unbuilt facility to life, giving the Texas State University evaluation team a vivid sense of design intent before construction began. PRESWERX also developed the client's selection presentation from structure through final design, then provided targeted presentation coaching to sharpen each presenter's delivery ahead of the live interview.

PRESWERX Approach
PRESWERX approached the engagement as a full-service pursuit partner, building every element of the package around a single, consistent story. The team focused on three areas:
Tailored proposal content that framed the client's experience around Texas State University's specific program goals and campus vision
Architectural renderings and fly-through animations that translated programming documents into compelling visual storytelling accessible to a university audience
Presenter coaching sessions that refined message clarity, pacing, and question-response preparation for the live selection interview
Every deliverable reinforced the same narrative, giving the client a pursuit package that held together from the first page to the final presentation.
Results Delivered
PRESWERX delivered a complete, integrated pursuit package calibrated to the standards of a $100 million public university selection:
The proposal gave the evaluation team a well-structured, readable account of the client's qualifications and approach tailored to this specific project
Renderings and animations provided a vivid picture of the completed STEM facility before a single construction document was issued
Presentation coaching produced an aligned, confident team prepared for the live interview format and the questions that come with it
The client entered the selection process with a polished story, a prepared team, and the materials to back both up.
