Project Overview
The Tallahassee Thomas P. Smith Water Reclamation Facility project delivered a new facility for the City of Tallahassee designed to curb nutrient loadings to Wakulla Springs, one of the largest freshwater springsheds in the world. The work directly addressed the invasive plant growth driven by excess nutrients, supporting the springshed's long term water quality. Because the environmental stakes of the project extended well beyond the plant's boundaries, the client needed a way to show the city what the facility would look like and how it would protect the springs before construction began. PRESWERX partnered with the client's team to build that visualization.

Scope of Work
PRESWERX produced a complete set of renderings and animations for the pursuit, presenting the new facility alongside its role in reducing nutrient loading to Wakulla Springs. The renderings depicted the completed treatment facility in finished detail, giving the selection committee a concrete sense of the project before a single system was built. The animations connected the plant's function to its downstream impact, illustrating how the facility's treatment process would curb the invasive plant growth threatening the springshed. Together, the deliverables tied a technical facility to a clear environmental outcome the city could stand behind.
