Project Overview

Two K-12 expansion projects in Tampa, Florida brought a combined $21,150,000 in new construction to the Hillsborough County Public Schools district. The first project added a classroom building at Sumner High School, creating 600 new student stations to accommodate enrollment growth. The second project delivered a gymnasium addition and a new 900-seat auditorium building at Newsome High School, expanding the school's performing arts and athletic capacity. The client engaged PRESWERX to develop a full pursuit package, including presentation materials, renderings, animations, and presentation coaching, to support the competitive selection process.

Client Challenges

The client needed to compete for two separate K-12 projects simultaneously, each requiring a distinct and convincing story for a public school owner:

  • Communicating the scope of 600 new classroom stations as a single, coherent project story.

  • Visualizing a new 900-seat auditorium and gymnasium addition before construction began.

  • Differentiating the team in a competitive public procurement with multiple qualified firms.

  • Preparing presenters to perform confidently during a live selection interview.

Both pursuits demanded materials that were professional, precise, and ready for a discerning public review board.

Scope of Work

PRESWERX developed a full suite of pursuit materials covering both K-12 projects. For the Sumner High School addition, PRESWERX produced architectural renderings that brought the classroom expansion to life before the project broke ground. For Newsome High School, animations conveyed the scale and character of the new auditorium and gymnasium addition. PRESWERX also built and refined a pursuit presentation that unified both scopes into a single, cohesive narrative for the selection panel. Presentation coaching sessions prepared the client's team to deliver that message with precision and confidence in a live interview setting.

PRESWERX Approach

PRESWERX treated the two projects as a unified pursuit rather than two separate deliverables, developing materials that told one consistent story about the client's capabilities. The team focused on three priorities:

  • Producing renderings and animations calibrated to the specific scale and character of each campus.

  • Building a presentation structure that connected both scopes without creating complexity for the audience.

  • Running coaching sessions that matched the client's presenters to the questions and format of a public school interview.

The result was a pursuit package that positioned the client as prepared, professional, and deeply familiar with the owner's priorities.

Results Delivered

PRESWERX delivered a complete pursuit package held to the standards of a competitive public school procurement:

  • Renderings gave the selection panel a clear visual of the Sumner classroom addition before construction.

  • Animations brought the Newsome auditorium and gymnasium to life, communicating design intent directly to the owner.

  • Coaching sessions sharpened the client's interview performance, producing a rehearsed, confident delivery for the live selection.

The client entered the selection fully prepared, with materials that accurately reflected the quality and complexity of both projects.
