Project Overview

The New Sequoyah Middle School and High School was a $150 million new construction project for the DeKalb County Board of Education in Doraville, Georgia. The program encompassed two new school buildings: a middle school with 74 instructional units and 1,200-seat capacity, and a high school with 84 instructional units and 1,600-seat capacity. Campus amenities included classrooms, media centers, fine arts areas, an auditorium, a gymnasium with an indoor track, career technology labs, special education classrooms, and outdoor athletic facilities featuring a practice field with artificial turf, baseball and softball fields, and tennis courts. PRESWERX supported the client's pursuit through proposal development, custom renderings, animations, presentation materials, and presentation coaching.

Client Challenges

Presenting a dual-school campus program to a public school board required a pursuit strategy that could hold a complex scope together as one cohesive story:

  • Translating two parallel building programs into a single, readable narrative for evaluators unfamiliar with construction

  • Visualizing the scale and design quality of two new campuses before construction began

  • Differentiating the team in a competitive public procurement where multiple qualified firms would present

  • Preparing the client's team to answer scope and technical questions confidently in a live interview setting

Together, these challenges called for pursuit materials that were visually compelling, project-specific, and backed by deliberate presentation preparation.

Scope of Work

PRESWERX produced a full pursuit package for the New Sequoyah campus competition. The written proposal organized the client's qualifications around the distinct demands of a dual-school program, communicating readiness to deliver two buildings simultaneously under a single contract. Custom renderings visualized the architecture and key interior spaces across both campuses, giving evaluators a concrete sense of design quality before construction began. Animations brought the site plan and building relationships to life, communicating scale and phasing across the two-school development. PRESWERX also developed the formal interview presentation and led coaching sessions to prepare the client's team for live delivery.

PRESWERX Approach

PRESWERX treated the dual-school scope as the central storytelling challenge and built every deliverable around it.

  • Structured the proposal narrative around the two-building program, connecting the client's qualifications to the specific delivery demands of simultaneous construction

  • Produced renderings and animations that made the scale, layout, and design quality of both campuses legible to a non-technical evaluation committee

  • Coached the client's team through presentation rehearsals, refining their delivery on scope complexity, schedule, and community impact

The result was a complete pursuit package and a prepared team positioned to make a clear, confident case to the school district's selection committee.

Results Delivered

PRESWERX delivered a complete pursuit package held to the standard of a $150 million public education project.

  • Custom renderings and animations gave the selection committee an immediate, credible picture of campus quality and scale before a single shovel of dirt was turned

  • The written proposal turned a complex two-building scope into a focused narrative the evaluators could follow and score with confidence

  • Presentation coaching aligned the client's team around a clear delivery strategy and prepared them to field questions on scope, schedule, and community impact

The client entered the selection process with materials that matched the ambition of the project and a team ready to present at its best.
