Project Overview

The Sarasota High School Building 13 and 14 Renovation in Sarasota, Florida delivered a comprehensive phased renovation of two school buildings on a working high school campus for Sarasota County Schools. The $37,500,000 project was procured through a Construction Manager at Risk process and encompassed a full building systems overhaul, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and chilled water upgrades, along with 700 tons of new cooling, ice tank refurbishment, new finishes throughout, and site restoration. The renovation was designed to modernize both buildings while keeping the school operational throughout. The client engaged PRESWERX to develop a proposal, renderings, and animations in support of the competitive pursuit.

Client Challenges

The client needed a pursuit package for a phased school renovation that had to communicate both technical complexity and student continuity:

  • A renovation spanning electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and chilled water systems across two buildings required imagery and a proposal that made the scope legible.

  • A phased project on an occupied campus required the team to communicate a relocation and sequencing plan that protected school operations.

  • A school district evaluating a $37.5M renovation needed a proposal, renderings, and animations that made the construction approach credible.

Together, these called for a package that made a technically complex, occupiedcampus renovation feel organized and well-commanded.

PRESWERX Approach

PRESWERX focused on making a technically dense school renovation feel as organized on paper as it would need to be in the field.

  • Developed a proposal that structured the phased renovation approach, student relocation plan, and full systems scope into a clear, district-ready narrative.

  • Produced renderings that captured the finished Buildings 13 and 14 as modern, refreshed educational environments worth the investment.

  • Created animations that gave Sarasota County Schools a dynamic view of the renovated campus and the quality of the completed spaces.

The result was a package that made a multi-system, occupied-campus renovation feel as manageable as it was ambitious.
