Project Overview
The Novant Health New Hanover Heart and Vascular Institute represented a significant expansion of the New Hanover Regional Medical Center campus in Wilmington, North Carolina. The project encompassed a new Heart and Vascular Institute platform with a patient bed tower above, totaling more than 170,000 square feet of new construction. The facility adjoined and connected to the existing hospital building, and the scope included demolition of an existing rehabilitation hospital as well as full design assist, pre-construction pricing, and construction services through owner occupancy. The client engaged PRESWERX to build a competitive pursuit package for this $238 million project.

Client Challenges
Competing for a $238 million healthcare project demanded more than a strong track record:
Communicating a 170,000+ SF hospital expansion as a single, cohesive story for a non-technical selection panel.
Helping the selection committee visualize the finished heart and vascular institute and patient bed tower before construction began.
Differentiating the client's team in a competitive field with a polished, persuasive presentation.
Preparing the team to deliver a confident, consistent message during the live selection interview.
Standing out required a pursuit package as strong as the team behind it.

Scope of Work
PRESWERX produced a full pursuit package for the Novant Health New Hanover Heart and Vascular Institute. The team developed architectural renderings that brought the 170,000+ SF facility to life, giving the selection committee a clear visual of the finished heart and vascular institute and patient bed tower. Custom animations communicated the project's scale and its connection to the existing hospital complex in ways static images could not. PRESWERX also developed the client's presentation materials and provided hands-on coaching sessions to prepare the team for the live selection interview, ensuring every message landed with clarity and confidence.

PRESWERX Approach
PRESWERX treated this engagement as a full pursuit partnership, aligning every deliverable to what the selection committee needed to see and hear:
Developed renderings and animations that translated the project's clinical mission and physical scale into a compelling visual narrative.
Built presentation materials that organized a complex, multi-phase scope into a clear and persuasive story.
Delivered coaching sessions that sharpened the team's message and prepared them to respond with confidence under committee questioning.
Every deliverable was calibrated to give the client a clear edge going into the selection.
Results Delivered
PRESWERX delivered a pursuit package built to the standard of a $238 million healthcare selection:
Renderings gave the selection committee a vivid, accurate preview of the new heart and vascular institute and patient bed tower.
Animations communicated the project's phasing and scale in a format that resonated across a non-technical audience.
Presentation coaching gave the team a consistent narrative and the confidence to deliver it under pressure.
The client entered the selection fully prepared, with every visual and verbal tool in place.
