Project Overview

Arkansas Children's undertook the development of the National Center for Opioid Research (NCOR) on its Little Rock campus, a $50 million initiative designed to address one of the most urgent public health crises in the country. The facility focused on the unique vulnerabilities of the mother-infant dyad in the context of opioid use, positioning the center as a national hub for research, clinical care, and education. The scale and mission-critical nature of the project demanded a pursuit strategy that could communicate both the clinical urgency and the institutional vision. The client engaged PRESWERX to develop the full suite of pursuit support, including proposal development, a selection presentation, presentation coaching, architectural renderings, and animations.

Client Challenges

Competing for a nationally significant healthcare research facility required the client to address several complex pursuit challenges at once:

  • Translating a technically complex, research-driven program into a coherent and compelling pursuit narrative for a broad selection audience

  • Visualizing a facility that did not yet exist, requiring high-quality renderings and animations to convey design intent and the center's future presence

  • Differentiating the team's approach and qualifications in a competitive selection environment where multiple well-resourced firms would be vying for the work

  • Preparing for a high-stakes live interview requiring polished delivery, clear messaging, and coordinated team performance under pressure

Each of these challenges called for a tightly integrated pursuit effort that aligned visual, written, and verbal communication around a single, persuasive story.

Scope of Work

PRESWERX delivered a comprehensive pursuit package tailored to the complexity and visibility of the NCOR project. On the written side, PRESWERX developed a full proposal that framed the client's qualifications, approach, and team around the unique demands of a national opioid research center. For the visual components, PRESWERX produced architectural renderings and animations that brought the unbuilt facility to life, giving the selection committee a clear and detailed picture of what the completed center would look like and how it would function. PRESWERX also designed and built the selection presentation, structuring the deck to move the audience through the project story with clarity and purpose. Presentation coaching rounded out the engagement, with PRESWERX working directly with the client's team to sharpen their delivery, align their messaging, and build the confidence needed for a strong interview performance.

PRESWERX Approach

PRESWERX approached the NCOR engagement as a strategic communications challenge, not simply a production task. The team worked to unify every pursuit element around a central message: the client's ability to deliver a facility of national significance with the precision and care the project's mission demanded.

  • Developed the proposal narrative around the clinical and public health significance of the mother-infant dyad focus, connecting the client team's capabilities directly to the owner's research and care mission

  • Produced renderings and animations calibrated to communicate design quality and programmatic intent to a selection audience that included both clinical and institutional decision-makers

  • Coached the client team through multiple rehearsals, refining talking points, transitions, and on-camera presence to ensure every team member presented with clarity and conviction

The result was a pursuit package where every component reinforced the same message, and the client team walked into their interview fully prepared to deliver it.

Results Delivered

PRESWERX delivered a complete, professional-grade pursuit package for one of the most mission-driven healthcare projects in the region. Every deliverable met the standard expected for a $50 million nationally significant facility.

  • The proposal positioned the client with a focused, well-articulated narrative that connected their team's strengths directly to the owner's vision for the center

  • Architectural renderings and animations gave the selection committee a vivid and credible preview of the completed facility, bridging the gap between design drawings and lived experience

  • Presentation coaching produced a team that delivered their story with confidence, consistency, and genuine command of both the project and their own narrative

The client entered the selection process with a pursuit package that reflected the seriousness and ambition of the project itself.
