Project Overview
The McAlpine Creek Wastewater Thermal Hydrolysis and Biosolids project introduced a new thermal hydrolysis treatment process for the City of Charlotte's McAlpine Creek facility. The program improved biosolids quality through enhanced pathogen and odor reduction, supporting land application and other beneficial uses while diversifying the options available to biosolids users. Thermal hydrolysis offered a more energy sustainable process with a lower total carbon footprint, reducing life cycle costs for Charlotte Water and the surrounding community. With Charlotte Water's environmental stewardship and sustainability goals central to the pursuit, the client needed a presentation that could connect a technical process to those broader objectives. PRESWERX partnered with the client's team to build that presentation.

Client Challenges
Presenting a new biosolids treatment process required connecting technical engineering work to Charlotte Water's environmental and sustainability priorities:
Explaining how thermal hydrolysis reduced pathogens, odor, and carbon footprint in terms a utility audience could evaluate.
Tying a technical process improvement directly to Charlotte Water's long term sustainability and cost goals.
Standing out in a competitive pursuit for a City of Charlotte contract.
Together, these challenges called for a presentation that made both the technology and its impact easy to follow.

Scope of Work
PRESWERX developed a full pursuit presentation for the interview, framing the thermal hydrolysis process and its biosolids improvements as a direct answer to Charlotte Water's sustainability goals. The presentation addressed the program's pathogen and odor reduction benefits, its lower carbon footprint, and its long term cost advantages for the utility and the community. PRESWERX also provided presentation coaching, working directly with the client's team to sharpen delivery and ensure the technical and environmental threads of the story stayed connected throughout the interview.

PRESWERX Approach
With a technical process and a sustainability mission both central to the pursuit, PRESWERX built the presentation to carry both threads together.
Connected the thermal hydrolysis process directly to Charlotte Water's environmental stewardship and cost goals.
Organized the biosolids program's pathogen, odor, and carbon footprint benefits into one clear story.
Coached the client's team through rehearsals to keep the technical and environmental narrative aligned.
The result was a presentation that made a technical process feel like a sustainability win.
Results Delivered
PRESWERX delivered a rehearsed presentation built to the standard of a City of Charlotte selection process.
The presentation connected the thermal hydrolysis process directly to Charlotte Water's sustainability and cost goals.
Presentation coaching gave the client's team confidence and command of a technically dense story.
The narrative tied biosolids quality improvements to real environmental and community benefits.
The client's team walked into the interview with a clear, well rehearsed story connecting technology to purpose.
