Project Overview
East Carolina University set out to build a transformative indoor practice facility for its athletics program. The Isley Indoor Performance Center, a 90,182-square-foot multi-sport training complex on the Greenville, North Carolina campus, was designed to serve all ECU varsity sports under one roof. The $24.5 million project featured a pre-fabricated metal structure with insulated wall cladding, translucent polycarbonate panels, and a brick base, positioned adjacent to the football practice fields. With a competitive selection process underway, the client engaged PRESWERX to develop the full pursuit package, including proposal documents, presentation materials, coaching, renderings, animations, and a project film.

Client Challenges
Communicating the scale and ambition of a 90,000-square-foot multi-sport complex required a pursuit strategy that went beyond standard submittals:
Translating a complex, multi-sport scope into a single, cohesive narrative that resonated with university stakeholders
Visualizing a pre-engineered building with high design intent before construction began
Differentiating the team in a competitive bid where multiple qualified contractors were vying for the work
• Preparing the team to perform at a high level in a live interview setting
Each challenge called for pursuit materials that were specific, polished, and built around the owner's vision for ECU athletics.

Scope of Work
PRESWERX delivered a comprehensive pursuit package tailored to the Isley Indoor Performance Center. The team produced a fully designed proposal document that organized scope, team qualifications, and project approach into a compelling narrative built around ECU's athletics priorities. Custom renderings illustrated the building's design intent, bringing the translucent panels, brick base, and indoor field environment to life for evaluators who had not yet seen the finished product. Animated sequences and a project film gave the owner a dynamic view of the facility, while a purpose-built presentation and targeted coaching prepared the team for a confident, polished interview performance.

PRESWERX Approach
PRESWERX approached this pursuit as a storytelling challenge, working to align every deliverable around one central question: why this team, for this project?
Developed a proposal narrative centered on the client's regional expertise and track record with complex athletic facilities
Produced renderings and animations that showed the finished facility from the perspective of the athletes and coaches who would use it
Structured the interview presentation around ECU's specific program goals, then coached the team through rehearsals to sharpen delivery
The result was a pursuit package that gave evaluators a clear, confident picture of what the client would build and how they would build it.
