Project Overview

The Hanahan Water Treatment Plant Expansion represented a critical infrastructure investment in the Lowcountry region of South Carolina. The project expanded the facility to a 127 million gallon per day treatment capacity, positioning the community to meet growing regional water demand for decades to come. Located in Hanahan, SC, the expansion encompassed significant upgrades to treatment processes, mechanical systems, and site infrastructure. The client pursued this opportunity in a competitive selection environment and engaged PRESWERX to develop a compelling proposal package, complete with high-quality renderings and animations that communicated the full scope and technical sophistication of the planned facility.

Client Challenges

A large-scale water treatment expansion presented communication and differentiation challenges that required careful planning:

  • Conveying the technical complexity of a 127 MGD treatment facility in a way that resonated with a non-engineering evaluation audience

  • Visualizing a substantial infrastructure project before a single shovel broke ground, making the scope tangible and credible

  • Standing out in a competitive selection process where multiple qualified teams were vying for the same opportunity

  • Delivering a cohesive pursuit package that unified written narrative, visual storytelling, and live presentation materials

Each of these challenges required PRESWERX to translate technical scale into a clear, confident story.

Scope of Work

PRESWERX developed a full pursuit package tailored to the Hanahan Water Treatment Plant Expansion. The team produced a polished proposal document that organized the client's technical qualifications, project approach, and team experience into a cohesive, evaluator-ready narrative. Alongside the written proposal, PRESWERX created architectural renderings that visualized the expanded facility at completion, giving reviewers a clear picture of the finished infrastructure. The team also produced animations that walked audiences through key aspects of the expansion, bringing the project to life in a way that static imagery alone could not achieve. Together, these deliverables formed an integrated submission package built to perform at every stage of the selection process.

PRESWERX Approach

PRESWERX approached this pursuit as a strategic storytelling challenge, treating technical capability and visual quality as equal priorities:

  • Developed a proposal narrative that framed the 127 MGD expansion as a long-term regional asset, connecting the client's technical approach to the owner's core infrastructure goals

  • Produced renderings that accurately reflected the facility's scale and design intent, providing evaluators with a confident, detailed view of the finished project

  • Created animations that guided the audience through the expansion scope in a clear sequence, reinforcing the proposal narrative with a dynamic visual layer

The result was a pursuit package where every element, written, rendered, and animated, told the same story with the same level of polish.

Results Delivered

PRESWERX delivered a complete, production-ready pursuit package built to the standards of a major public infrastructure selection:

  • A fully developed proposal document that communicated the client's qualifications and project approach with clarity and confidence

  • High-quality renderings that made the scale and character of the 127 MGD expansion immediately legible to a broad evaluation audience

  • Compelling animations that brought the facility to life and gave the client a differentiated, memorable visual presence in the selection process

The client went into the selection fully prepared, with a pursuit package that reflected the ambition and quality of the project itself.
