Project Overview

Georgia Institute of Technology Tech Square Phase 3 in Atlanta, Georgia brought a bold new chapter to one of the Southeast's most prominent academic innovation districts. The $200,000,000 project encompassed 416,500 square feet across two towers, the 14-story Scheller Tower and the 18-story George Tower, connected by a shared elevator and grounded by a large outdoor plaza with street-level retail. The development extended the vision of Tech Square as a hub where Georgia Tech's academic and research community intersects with the broader Atlanta innovation ecosystem. The client engaged PRESWERX to develop renderings and animations in support of the competitive pursuit.

Client Challenges

The client faced a pursuit where two ambitious towers had to read as one cohesive academic district vision:

  • Two towers connected by shared infrastructure required imagery that communicated the development as one cohesive campus expansion.

  • An innovation district setting required visuals that captured the outdoor plaza and street-level retail as part of the project's urban identity.

  • A $200M flagship project required visual assets that matched the institutional ambition of Georgia Tech and the scale of Tech Square.

Together, these called for a package that made a complex academic development feel as cohesive as it was ambitious.

Scope of Work

PRESWERX produced renderings and animations for Georgia Institute of Technology Tech Square Phase 3 in Atlanta, Georgia. The renderings captured the scale and urban presence of the two-tower development, depicting the 14-story Scheller Tower and 18- story George Tower as a cohesive district landmark connected by shared vertical circulation. The outdoor plaza and street-level retail were rendered to communicate the development's role in activating the Tech Square innovation corridor. Animations gave Georgia Tech's evaluation team a dynamic view of how 416,500 square feet of academic space would reshape the campus edge. All deliverables were calibrated to support the client's competitive submission.

PRESWERX Approach

PRESWERX focused on one central challenge: presenting two architecturally distinct towers as one unified, landmark-scale academic development.

  • Developed renderings of the Scheller and George towers that conveyed the scale and cohesion of the development as a connected district landmark.

  • Rendered the outdoor plaza and street-level retail to communicate the project's activation of the broader Tech Square innovation corridor.

  • Produced animations that gave the owner a dynamic view of the full 416,500 square foot development and its campus impact.

The result was a package that matched the scale and ambition of a $200M flagship academic district expansion.
