Project Overview
The Folsom Corridor Study was a corridor study and preliminary design effort for a segment of Folsom Street in Boulder, Colorado, running from Colorado Avenue to Pine Street. The project evaluated multimodal and safety improvements, developed a preferred concept plan, and advanced that concept to a 15-percent preliminary design and cost estimate. Design elements under consideration included protected bicycle lanes, intersection enhancements, pedestrian facilities, and transit upgrades. The effort placed a strong emphasis on equitable community engagement throughout the process. To support the pursuit, the client engaged PRESWERX to produce the proposal, renderings, and animations.
Client Challenges
The client faced a complex multimodal scope that required a clear, unified story for a competitive public-sector selection:
Translating a technically dense corridor study into a compelling proposal narrative tailored to a public-sector owner focused on multimodal safety and equity.
Communicating design quality and intent for proposed improvements, including protected bike lanes, pedestrian upgrades, and intersection enhancements, before any construction began.

Scope of Work
PRESWERX produced the full pursuit package for the client's response to the City of Boulder Transportation and Mobility Department. This included developing the written proposal, which organized the client's technical approach and team qualifications into a clear, persuasive narrative tailored to the city's multimodal and equity-focused priorities. PRESWERX also created renderings and animations illustrating the proposed corridor improvements, giving evaluators a concrete visual understanding of the design concepts before any construction began. Each deliverable was developed to reflect the scale and ambition of the project and to support the client's presentation at selection.
