Project Overview
The Dorchester County Water Reclamation Facility in Dorchester County, South Carolina delivers a major expansion for the Dorchester County Water and Sewer Department, doubling plant capacity from 8 to 16 million gallons per day. The $100,000,000 project encompasses modifications across the full treatment train, including influent pumping, secondary treatment, tertiary filtration, disinfection, reclaimed water systems, and solids handling, alongside a new maintenance building and operations building retrofit. The expanded facility is designed to meet all current and anticipated South Carolina regulatory requirements. The client engaged PRESWERX to develop renderings and animations in support of the competitive pursuit.

Client Challenges
The client faced a pursuit where a capacity-doubling plant expansion had to communicate technical depth and operational readiness in one package:
A capacity expansion from 8 to 16 MGD required imagery that made the full treatment train modification feel legible.
New and modified processes spanning secondary treatment, tertiary filtration, reclaimed water, and solids handling required visuals that communicated the project's technical scope.
Dorchester County evaluating a $100M investment required renderings and animations that matched the scale of a major public water infrastructure expansion.
Together, these called for a package that made a complex plant expansion feel as ready as the community it would serve.

Scope of Work
PRESWERX produced renderings and animations for the Dorchester County Water Reclamation Facility in Dorchester County, South Carolina. The renderings depicted the expanded facility across its key new and modified systems, from influent pumping through secondary treatment, tertiary filtration, disinfection, and reclaimed water systems, alongside the new maintenance building and retrofitted operations building. Animations brought the full 8-to-16 MGD expansion to life in a dynamic format, giving the Dorchester County Water and Sewer Department's evaluation team a complete visual picture of the doubled-capacity facility. All deliverables were calibrated to support the competitive submission.

PRESWERX Approach
PRESWERX approached this as a water infrastructure project where a capacity doubling had to read clearly in every visual.
Developed renderings that captured the full expansion, from modified influent and preliminary treatment systems through tertiary filtration, disinfection, and solids handling.
Framed the new maintenance building and operations building retrofit as integrated components of a fully modernized, 16 MGD treatment campus.
Produced animations that gave Dorchester County a dynamic view of the completed facility at its expanded capacity and full operational readiness.
The result was a package that made a technically complex plant expansion feel as purposeful as the community growth it would support.
Results Delivered
PRESWERX delivered renderings and animations that gave the Dorchester County Water Reclamation Facility a visual case equal to its expansion.
Renderings captured the full treatment train from influent to disinfection and the new support facilities, showing the expansion at 16 MGD.
Animations gave Dorchester County a dynamic view of a modernized, doubledcapacity water reclamation facility built to meet South Carolina regulatory requirements.
The combined package gave the client visuals that made a $100M public water infrastructure expansion feel as operationally ready as its engineering demanded.
The client entered the Dorchester County selection with imagery built to carry a landmark $100M water infrastructure investment.
