Project Overview
Daytona State College sought to expand student life on its Daytona Beach campus with a new residential housing facility, the second student housing building to be constructed on campus. The project called for a modern, purpose-built dormitory designed to accommodate the college's growing enrollment and elevate the on-campus living experience. A Florida-based general contractor with deep experience in educational construction pursued the project through a competitive selection process. PRESWERX was engaged to develop the pursuit materials and prepare the team for a high-stakes interview, delivering a proposal, a presentation, and targeted coaching for the live selection event.

Client Challenges
The client faced a competitive selection process for a high-profile public college project that required a compelling, unified pursuit strategy:
Articulating the team's qualifications and approach for a student housing project in a way that resonated with a public institution audience
Translating complex construction scope and sequencing into a clear, visually compelling narrative for evaluators
Differentiating the team from other experienced contractors in a competitive field
Preparing the project team to perform confidently and cohesively under live interview conditions
Each of these challenges demanded a coordinated pursuit effort, from written materials to the final interview.

Scope of Work
PRESWERX developed a comprehensive suite of pursuit materials for the Daytona Campus Student Housing II project. The team produced a fully written and designed proposal tailored to Daytona State College's evaluation criteria, presenting the client's qualifications, project approach, and team experience in a structured, persuasive format. PRESWERX then built a custom presentation designed for the live selection interview, translating the proposal narrative into a clear, visually engaging story for evaluators. To ensure the team was fully prepared, PRESWERX delivered dedicated presentation coaching sessions, guiding the client's presenters through messaging, timing, and delivery ahead of the final selection event.

PRESWERX Approach
PRESWERX approached the engagement as an integrated pursuit effort, aligning the proposal, presentation, and coaching around a single, consistent message about the client's qualifications and project vision:
Developed proposal content that directly addressed the college's evaluation criteria and highlighted the client's relevant dormitory experience
Designed a presentation that distilled the proposal's key themes into a focused, audience-appropriate visual story
Conducted coaching sessions that sharpened presenter delivery, reinforced key talking points, and built team confidence ahead of the live interview
The result was a cohesive, well-prepared pursuit package ready for high-stakes evaluation.
Results Delivered
PRESWERX produced a complete set of pursuit materials that gave the client a strong foundation for the Daytona Campus Student Housing II selection:
A polished, criteria-aligned proposal that clearly communicated the client's scope understanding, team qualifications, and construction approach
A custom presentation designed for the live interview, balancing visual quality with a clear, evaluator-focused narrative
Structured coaching that prepared the team to present with consistency, confidence, and command of their key messages
The client entered the final selection well-prepared, with a unified story and a team ready to present it effectively.
