Project Overview
The Copans Transit Operations Facility in Pompano Beach, Florida delivered a comprehensive modernization of Broward County's transit operations campus. The $51,000,000 project encompasses electrical infrastructure for electric bus and car charging, rehabilitation of the existing Bus Maintenance Building, expanded articulated bus maintenance capacity, and a new hydrogen detection system, alongside new facilities including an Operations Annex Building, a state-of-the-art Training Building with exterior maneuvering space, a Paint Booth and Detailing Building, and a structured parking garage with a minimum of 400 employee spaces. The client engaged PRESWERX to develop renderings and animations in support of the competitive pursuit.
Client Challenges
The client faced a pursuit for a multi-building transit campus modernization designed to support a growing electric fleet:
A multi-building campus with EV charging, facility rehabilitation, and new operations buildings required imagery that made the full scope legible.
A fleet transitioning to electric buses required visuals that communicated the forward-looking infrastructure investment alongside operational improvements.
Broward County evaluating a $51M transit investment required renderings and animations that made the full campus feel complete and well-planned.
Together, these called for a package that made a complex transit campus feel as operationally ready as it was forward-thinking.
Scope of Work
PRESWERX produced renderings and animations for the Copans Transit Operations Facility in Pompano Beach, Florida. The renderings depicted the modernized transit campus across its full scope, including the rehabilitated Bus Maintenance Building, expanded articulated bus maintenance areas, EV charging infrastructure, and the suite of new facilities including the Operations Annex Building, Training Building, Paint Booth and Detailing Building, and structured parking garage. Animations gave Broward County's evaluation team a dynamic view of the completed campus as a fully operational transit hub. All deliverables were calibrated to support the client's competitive submission for a major county transit infrastructure investment.
