Project Overview

The Broward Health Medical Center Graduate Medical Education Center Renovation was an $8 million interior renovation project spanning approximately 27,440 square feet on the first floor of an active hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The scope encompassed a full systems overhaul, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection upgrades, alongside a complete interior build-out that transformed the floor into a modern medical education environment. New spaces included offices, classrooms, lounges, on-call rooms, restrooms, a simulation lab, and a conference room. PRESWERX supported the client's pursuit with a full suite of proposal, presentation, rendering, and animation deliverables.

Client Challenges

The client faced the challenge of conveying a technically complex hospital renovation as a cohesive, compelling story to a sophisticated healthcare owner. Key challenges included:

  • Communicating the full scope of a multi-system infrastructure overhaul across 27,440 square feet of active hospital space

  • Visualizing a modern medical education environment before a single wall was moved

  • Differentiating the team in a competitive healthcare construction market

  • Preparing the team for a high-stakes live selection interview

Each challenge required materials that were both technically credible and visually compelling enough to build owner confidence.

Scope of Work

PRESWERX delivered a comprehensive pursuit package tailored to the complexity of a working hospital renovation. The team produced a fully designed proposal document that organized the project's scope, team qualifications, and approach into a clear, owner-facing narrative. Custom renderings brought the future medical education spaces to life, illustrating new office configurations, classrooms, lounges, on-call rooms, a simulation lab, and a conference room in vivid detail. Animations added a dynamic layer, allowing the owner to walk through the transformed space before construction began. The package was completed with a polished presentation and targeted coaching sessions that prepared the client team for the selection interview.

PRESWERX Approach

PRESWERX approached the pursuit as a storytelling challenge, organizing every deliverable around the owner's perspective to make a complex interior renovation easy to understand and evaluate:

  • Designed a proposal that translated technical systems work into a clear narrative about program outcomes and team capability

  • Produced renderings and animations that showed the finished spaces in vivid detail, reducing owner uncertainty about the final product

  • Coached the client's team through the presentation, sharpening their message and building confidence ahead of the selection

The result was a client team that arrived at the selection fully prepared and aligned on their story.

Results Delivered

PRESWERX delivered a complete, presentation-ready pursuit package that gave the client a compelling, cohesive case for the $8 million renovation:

  • The proposal organized a technically demanding scope into a confident, owner-focused narrative that was easy to evaluate

  • Renderings and animations gave the owner a clear picture of the finished graduate medical education spaces, including the simulation lab, classrooms, and on-call rooms

  • Presentation coaching sharpened the client team's delivery and aligned their messaging before they walked into the room

The client entered the selection process with a polished story, strong visuals, and a team ready to perform.
