Project Overview
The Hernando County School Board undertook a comprehensive HVAC replacement at Brooksville Elementary School, a project valued at $5.9 million. The scope encompassed the replacement of chillers, air handlers, fan coil units, and exhaust fans, with potential upgrades to ductwork, ceilings, and interior lighting across the campus. The effort required a construction manager capable of delivering pre-construction services, cost estimating, guaranteed maximum price development, and full contract administration under the AIA A133-2019 framework. PRESWERX supported the client's pursuit team with presentation development, visual renderings, animations, and presentation coaching for the competitive selection process.

Client Challenges
The client needed to compete for a technical infrastructure replacement project where the scope was mechanical but the selection was qualitative. Standing out required more than engineering credentials:
Communicating a highly technical HVAC scope in a way that resonated with a school district owner focused on student outcomes and budget certainty
Differentiating the construction management team in a competitive field of qualified firms pursuing the same work
Preparing for a live selection interview where evaluators expected the team to demonstrate both technical fluency and project-specific understanding
The challenge was translating deep technical capability into a pursuit narrative that could earn the trust of a non-technical owner.

Scope of Work
PRESWERX developed a full pursuit package for the client's Brooksville Elementary School HVAC replacement bid. The team produced custom presentation materials structured around the Hernando County School Board's evaluation priorities, ensuring the client's technical approach translated into a clear, confident story. Renderings and animations illustrated the planned mechanical replacements, giving evaluators a concrete visual reference for the scope of improvements. PRESWERX also delivered focused presentation coaching, preparing the client's team to communicate their approach with precision and confidence during the live selection interview.

PRESWERX Approach
PRESWERX treated this pursuit as a communication challenge, not just a design exercise. The goal was to translate a dense mechanical scope into a presentation that felt organized, credible, and owner-focused.
Developed custom presentation materials that structured the client's technical approach around the school district's core concerns: budget, schedule, and campus disruption
Created renderings and animations to visualize the planned HVAC replacements, giving evaluators a concrete picture of the finished work before a single component was replaced
Conducted focused presentation coaching sessions to sharpen the client team's delivery and prepare them for likely evaluator questions
The result was a client team that entered the selection room prepared to lead the conversation, not just respond to it.
Results Delivered
PRESWERX delivered a complete pursuit package that gave the client a polished, cohesive presence in a competitive selection process.
Presentation materials organized the technical HVAC scope into a clear narrative, reducing evaluator friction and reinforcing the client's project-specific understanding
Renderings and animations gave the school district concrete visuals of the planned mechanical improvements, supporting both comprehension and confidence in the proposed approach
Presentation coaching sharpened the team's delivery and closed the gap between technical competence and effective communication, preparing the team for real-time evaluator engagement
The client entered the Hernando County School Board selection process as a unified, fully prepared team, with a compelling story and the confidence to tell it.
