Project Overview

A $20,000,000 build-to-suit industrial facility in Opa-Locka, Florida delivered 279,499 square feet of Class-A distribution space for Amazon. Building MIA2 featured clear heights ranging from 24 to 36 feet, ESFR suppression systems, and rear-load and cross-dock configurations, meeting the full spectrum of Amazon's fulfillment requirements. The project's execution set a remarkable benchmark: the client's team went from pouring the final exterior footing to a fully decked structure, spanning the equivalent of six football fields, in under 30 days, tilting more than 106 panels. The client engaged PRESWERX to develop a pursuit presentation, films, and presentation coaching.

Client Challenges

Competing for industrial work with Amazon required the client to communicate both the technical depth of their Class-A capabilities and the speed of their execution on a demanding fulfillment center program:

  • Presenting the team's ability to deliver a 279,499 SF build-to-suit facility to Amazon's exacting specifications, including clear heights, suppression systems, and dock configurations.

  • Capturing and communicating a landmark construction achievement: a fully decked, six-football-field-scale structure completed in under 30 days, in a way that was compelling and credible.

  • Differentiating the team in a competitive industrial procurement with a sophisticated, high-volume owner.

The client needed materials that matched the speed and precision of their on-site performance.

Scope of Work

PRESWERX developed a pursuit package for the Amazon MIA2 project that included a pursuit presentation, films, and presentation coaching. The films captured the remarkable pace of construction on the MIA2 site, documenting the team's achievement of taking a 279,499 SF tilt-wall structure from final footing pour to a fully decked building in under 30 days. The pursuit presentation organized the client's capabilities and execution record into a compelling narrative for Amazon. Coaching sessions prepared the client's team to deliver that story with confidence and precision in a high-stakes industrial procurement interview.

PRESWERX Approach

PRESWERX recognized that the client's strongest asset was a verifiable, on-site performance record, and built the pursuit package to lead with that story. The team addressed three priorities:

  • Producing films that documented the MIA2 construction pace and made the 30- day achievement tangible and credible for an Amazon audience.

  • Building a presentation that connected the client's execution record to Amazon's requirements for speed, precision, and Class-A industrial standards.

  • Coaching presenters to deliver with the same confidence and precision the team demonstrated on the job site.

The result was a pursuit package as fast and precise as the project it described.

Results Delivered

PRESWERX delivered a pursuit package built around the client's most compelling differentiator: their ability to execute at speed without sacrificing quality.

  • Films documented the MIA2 construction achievement, turning a 30-day milestone into a vivid, credible proof point for the Amazon selection team.

  • The presentation connected the client's Class-A industrial capabilities to Amazon's exact fulfillment center requirements.

  • Coaching sessions prepared the client's team to perform with the same precision in the interview room that they demonstrated on the job site.

The client entered the selection with a pursuit package that reflected the full measure of their execution capability.
