Project Overview
The ALCOSAN Wet Weather Pump Station undertaking involved the design of a new deep pump station in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, valued at fifty million dollars and developed to help ALCOSAN meet the consent decree regulatory requirements of its Wet Weather Management Program. The project built on an established general arrangement, key features, and operational strategies shaped through prior collaborative planning among the program manager, ALCOSAN engineering, and O&M staff. Advancing that effort from a completed basis of design report into final design and a coordinated construction sequencing plan required a partner with deep pump station experience and a clear understanding of ALCOSAN's infrastructure history.
