Project Overview

The client pursued a competitive selection for the construction of a new behavioral health hospital in Greenville, North Carolina. The project encompassed a two-story, 98,000-square-foot inpatient facility designed to serve at least 144 behavioral health patients from day one, developed as part of a broader behavioral health campus on a greenfield site in partnership with ECU Health and Vidant Health. The scope included full facility construction and all associated site work. To prepare a compelling pursuit package for this clinically specialized, high-visibility project, the client engaged PRESWERX to develop proposal content, presentation materials, renderings, animations, and films.

Client Challenges

Communicating the scale and clinical complexity of a brand-new behavioral health hospital demanded more than a standard submittal package:

  • The greenfield campus involved multiple owner partners, requiring a unified pursuit narrative that aligned the team's approach across a complex, multi-stakeholder development.

  • Behavioral health facilities carry distinct design sensitivities around patient experience and therapeutic environment that were difficult to convey through drawings alone, making high-quality visualizations critical.

  • A competitive selection required the client's team to present with confidence and precision, prepared for detailed questions from a knowledgeable owner panel.

Together, these demands required a pursuit strategy that connected design quality, team capability, and owner-focused storytelling in a single, polished package.

Scope of Work

PRESWERX delivered a comprehensive pursuit package tailored to the demands of a competitive behavioral health hospital selection. The team developed full proposal content that framed the client's approach to the two-story, 98,000-square-foot inpatient facility, translating complex technical scope into a clear, owner-focused narrative. High-fidelity renderings brought the campus design to life, helping the owner visualize the completed facility well before construction began. Animations and a project film conveyed the construction approach and design intent in a format accessible to non-technical reviewers. Presentation coaching prepared the client's team to deliver a focused, confident presentation under selection conditions.

PRESWERX Approach

PRESWERX approached the engagement as a fully integrated pursuit partner, connecting the client's technical capabilities to a compelling owner story across every deliverable:

  • The team built the proposal narrative around the owner's evaluation priorities, centering the submission on behavioral health design sensitivities, campus-scale coordination, and patient experience outcomes.

  • Renderings and animations were calibrated specifically to the clinical environment, depicting thoughtful patient flow, therapeutic spaces, and the relationship between the facility and the larger campus.

  • Presentation coaching was structured around realistic rehearsal scenarios, with feedback focused on the questions a behavioral health owner panel would most likely raise.

The result was a pursuit package that positioned the client as the most prepared, most credible team in the room.

Results Delivered

PRESWERX delivered a full suite of pursuit materials held to the standard of a high-stakes healthcare selection:

  • Proposal content gave the client a clear, owner-aligned narrative for a complex greenfield behavioral health campus, making the team's approach easy to follow and compelling to evaluate.

  • Renderings, animations, and a project film brought the 98,000-square-foot facility to life, giving the owner a vivid, credible picture of the finished project and the team's design intent.

  • Presentation coaching ensured the client's team entered the room polished, rehearsed, and ready to respond to detailed owner questions with confidence.

Every deliverable was designed to close the gap between the client's capabilities and how clearly those capabilities communicated to the owner.
